Hasten the day when we can just plug in our cars instead of filling them up!
Beware of Better Place.
Trying to replace one oil monopoly with another held by a small group of investors … All the big greedy investors are lining up to make sure you won’t be able to charge your EV at home on your own solar panels, but to CHARGE you per ‘emile’.
Oh boy, they’re not going to kill the electric car this time… They’re going to make sure they control it properly.
With some luck battery improvement will arrive before this evil scam can take hold… But once the charging stations are in place, it will be too late.
The swapping stations are just a diversion, the idea is to get control over the way people charge anywhere, be it at home or on the road.
The whole thing is dependant on battery technology not getting better too fast, and imposing a standard enabling them to make you pay for what you could have for free (charging with your own solar panels, windmills etc). Spread the word!
Simplification of the electric car is the key to success. Look to the past for inspiration.
