Electric trucks are ideally suited to depot-based delivery fleets, for whom the distance limitations of battery power are not a problem. Every local postal delivery fleet worldwide fits this category. Smith Electric Vehicles, as well as having an established presence in Europe (see the Case Studies page at their UK website http://www.smithelectricvehicles.com ) are starting production at a new US facilty this summer, and have just launched a US website at http://www.sev-us.com EVI,Smith and Zerotruck have clearly all decided there is a market big enough to be worth fighting for in America!
