Now Chrysler/Fiat is deciding not to produce plug in hybrids or plug in electric vehicles???

No problem with their decision. They just need to GIVE BACK the $70 Million Dollar Grant to the Department of Energy. My next vehicle I’m going to buy will be a plug in hybrid or freeway speed electric vehicle, so I guess I will not be buying any vehicles from Chrysler/Fiat.

This is no great suprise. It seems the hybrids out there getting 40 MPG are mostly a joke. I was getting 40MPG 25 years ago in my VWs. The Department of Energy is in cahoots with Big Oil and Big Automotive. The hybrids are a stalling tactic to distract us while they work towards creating a hydrogen economy wrought with bad energy transfers, lots more tax dollars and the continuation of the internal combusting engine and liquid fuels. What they don’t talk about is how we had the NiMH battery (200 miles per charge) to power 100% electric cars more than 12 years ago until Chevron Oil said, “No that’s our battery. You can’t use it. I read about this outrage in Cefo’s Two Cents Per Mile. The good news is Cefo has a good idea how we can get the technolgy back and stop beating around the bush is changing over to greener technologies.
