Chris Paine - Director
Chris Paine is the director of "Who Killed The Electric Car?," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006 before being released internationally by Sony Pictures. Previously, Chris executive produced "Faster," about the world’s fastest motorcyle race, and "No Maps for These Territories," a road trip with cyberpunk author William Gibson. Chris is a 10-year driver of electric cars.
P.G. Morgan - Producer
P.G. Morgan is the producer of Revenge of the Electric Car. He was Co-Writer/Producer of the HBO/Weinstein Co. documentary "Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired" which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. He’s also written and produced TV dramas for the BBC, and has won BAFTA and Amnesty International awards for his journalism.
Stefano Durdic - Executive Producer
Stefano Durdic is a social entrepreneur based in Chicago. He invests in environmentally conscious businesses. His interests include organic food and farming, environmentally- friendly building practises, alternative energy and electric vehicles. Stefano has 19 years of experience in financial markets. He is a co- founder of Speed Trading Partners. He also co-founded RedSky Financial, an NASD broker-dealer that was acquired by Investment Technology Group in 2007.
Jessie Deeter - Producer
Jessie Deeter is a veteran documentary filmmaker and journalist. She was the Producer of "Who Killed the Electric Car?" Jessie is also finishing work on "Tapped," a feature documentary she co-produced about water that will debut in 2009. Jessie produced, reported, directed and shot "No More War," a 22- minute documentary that aired on PBS' FRONTLINE/World in May 2005. Reviewed positively in the New York Times, "No More War" was submitted for a DuPont award by FRONTLINE. The hour-long version of that documentary, "Taking Guns from Boys," aired on PBS' KQED in February, 2007 and had its festival premiere in Milan, Italy. Jessie field-produced "Afghanistan: Hell of a Nation," a 45- minute documentary on Afghanistan's Loya Jirga that aired on PBS' Wide Angle in September, 2004. In 2003, Jessie traveled to five countries to field produce a documentary for the Asia Foundation's 50th anniversary. Prior to that, Jessie worked as an associate producer for FRONTLINE/World and FRONTLINE's "Modern Meat" and "Blackout" documentaries. Her half-hour documentary, "Some They Win," on Mexican workers at the racetrack, screened in several festivals around the country. Jessie has a Masters of Journalism and International and Area Studies, Middle East focus, from UC Berkeley.
Thaddeus Wadleigh - Director of Photography
Thaddeus Wadleigh has worked as a DP on feature films, documentaries, commercials and TV programs. His credits include "Who Killed the Electric Car?," Sicko, The Glass Closet and Mistaken Identity. His HD work won the best cinematography award at HDFEST 2003. Thad has also done commercial work for Honda and Nissan. His website is films-and-hi-def.com.
Mark Cope - Assistant Editor
Mark Cope is Papercut's Assistant Editor. He was also a cinematographer for various episodes of National Geographic's "Odyssey: Driving Around the World," A travel series which chronicled a 15 month drive around the world raising money for Parkinson’s Disease. Mark is also a founding member of The Foster Kids, a critically acclaimed comedy sketch group.
